Last week Este and I went to Kitty Haven to go have a look at the cats that they have available for adoption. Shane, my wonderful and amazing and smart and tall husband (Shane I hope you are reading this) has agreed to let me have a kitten. Now this has been an almost 3 year convincing process with old Shanie because he has asthma and cats really do not agree with his face in any way. But I have heard from many people that you can get used to your own cat and if you get it from little, even better.
So he has agreed to let us bring a kitty home, which I’m super excited, but also a bit apprehensive about, because it’s going to suck if Shane really can’t cope. So I haven’t made my mind up yet. But anyway Este and I went to Kitty Haven, which is a great place that houses all sorts of cats that they try find homes for and never ever put down, unless they are suffering.
Shame, these little guys were so friendly, all they wanted was a scratch and some love. It’s awesome that this place exists but it would be even more awesome if all these fur faces could find homes. Anyone looking for a cat, please please click here for Kitty Haven’s details.
If I do decide to get a one, I want to get a kitten, so I have to go back in about 9 weeks, that’s when it’s kitty season. Man alive, I would love a cat so much, the last time I had one I was about 8 and I found this stray at my granny’s house in Zimbabwe. I loved that thing for like 2 days solid and then it bolted and left me with ringworm on my neck, charming hey? But I still want one, I just think I’m going to use these next few weeks to seriously think about it.
