antiques, awesome stuff

Coca-Cola anyone?

May 27, 2010

i’m finally over my bug and back at work, maybe tonight i will actually get to eat a real meal too, thanks everyone for the good wishes and mails, i really appreciate it x  xxx

So last night i was rummaging through my small stuffs tin, yes i have one of those and i pulled out all these little guys.

look how cute the little salt tin is. that’s what you would get on a plane 40 years ago, now you get plastic forks and if you’re lucky, a meal that slightly resembles what the label says. Does anyone remember the little character above? i can’t recall it’s name. Look at it’s flippin small feet all pushed up together, so sweet.

I got this little glass Coca-Cola bottle from my mom, she used to have a whole mini crate filled with these guys. I see them sometimes in antique stores, but they are damn expensive.  I love the rusty metal cap. Unfortunately the liquid inside the bottle has gone a bit weird, but if i had a tiny mouth and tiny hands and a tiny bottle opener, i would totally drink this thing.

I also have these bottles, the one above opens up, but I’m not too sure what one could put in it, maybe some glitter…

they say its plastic forks, but i think its actually rubber. plastic would actually be able to cut through something right?

although on a air iberia flight recently-ish, we got metal knives and forks! maybe the crew really wanted someone to take the initiative and put them out of their misery, because damn, they were miserable.

yes monchichi. my sister had a bigger version one which she carried around and rubbed its head for so long that it went bald and even then she didn’t let go.

Hahah of course she didn’t. I can actually imagine that poor thing dangling from her King arms.
