I was asked by the folk from Cherry Time if I could perhaps suggest something fun and a little out of the ordinary to do with their cherries in and around my city. So I thought it would be cool to pack a giant bowl of them and head on out for a picnic and a geo hunt 🙂
Which is exactly what we did, we merrily stuffed our faces as well as went on two geo hunts in and around Delta Park.
For those of you who are wondering what the blazers I’m going on about, let me break it down quick – A geo hunt is like a treasure hunt made up of people looking for caches, or hidden stashes of objects. It’s like a series of hide-and-seek games, where you are provided with online clues and coordinates which lead you to little ‘treasures’ hidden all around your city and all around the world really!
I mean how cool is that?! It’s such a super fun activity to do with kids as well as with other big people 🙂
If you’re keen to go on a little adventure like ours then here are some tips on how to get started 🙂
- Make sure you pack a yummy picnic! If you’re keen on treating yourself to some amazing cherries, then all you have to do is pop onto Cherry Time and order a box, then either have it delivered straight to your house, or check out one of their pick-up points. Easy peasy.
- Find a couple of interesting spots around where you live to go on a bit of a hunt. This website will help you with this part, offering you maps, clues and loads of fun!
