Trying out a new theme on my blog. Shane sat with me last night and helped me swop over, but I’m feeling a bit strange about it. I think it’s because I have been staring at the same layout for the last 6 years and now it’s no longer there, like a familiar face when you come home after a long holiday. It’s not drastically different, but I feel like I’m almost cheating in a way, dramatic I know, but hey.

My friend Natasha from Raising Men challenged me to write a story about how my life has changed since having a baby and so today I’m writing about how CHANGE came a-knocking on the Durrants’ door a few months ago, not once but twice and how we not only let it in, but we made it our new best friend.
The other day I went to a lunch held by Art Logic that gave us a sneak peak at what to expect at the Sanlam Handmade Contemporary FoodWineDesign Fair this year. From what I can see from the small display they put together to entice us, there is going to be some really beautiful things to lust after and some really amazing food to dive face/hands first into, I really can’t wait.
Found these very interesting and awesome handmade ice-cream cones on Booooooom. They’re so nice and colourful and it sounds like these “Gelatology” workshops could be so much fun.
How much fun is this project? – Geffen Refaeli, who is a freelance illustrator based in Tel aviv, draws a doodle a day based on other people’s Instagram feeds as inspiration. Some of them are damn cool and strange as all hell, I would love to see what the original base photo was for some of her drawings.
