Hello my baby loves

April 23, 2017

The other day I met a couple of awesome ladies who run a local label called Koco Bino, they have a sweet little boutique in Sandton City (Shop U81A ) jam packed full of babies, toddlers, young kids and moms-to-be clothes and just recently they launched their very own range: Koco Bino for Kids which they invited me to check out.

Their baby range is super cute, they’ve gone for graphic yet simple designs, but all the pieces are versatile and not your typical baby stuff, they’ve had fun with stripes and crosses, polka dots and nautical bits and pieces. Their toddler range is a bit fancier but definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something to put your little one in for a special occasion. They stock all sorts of items from hats to shoes to dresses and suits as well as cool little bits and pieces like toys, prams etc

African Bazaar

January 9, 2017

This is a photographic project that I have really been wanting to share with you guys and now I finally can! Near the end of last year Adi and I under Churche worked together with the awesome folk from The Spanish Coalition on a little project called African Bazaar. Working with the team behind this and the amazing Emy (I mean how beautiful is she?!) was such a treat and I’m so happy with the end result. Please let me know what you think of it, I would love to hear your thoughts.

The Spanish Coalition’s (who are a great little advertising agency if you’re looking for one) concept behind this project is really cool – African Bazaar’ was inspired by the informal economy of this city. This catalogue exhibits some of the bizarre and miscellaneous things you can buy in and around the streets of Jozi.

Matthew Mole – Holding On

November 23, 2016

Yay I’m so excited for you guys to see this ‘little’ project that I got to work on with my friends Matthew Mole, Adi Koen and Alastair Thomas. A few weeks back we shot Matthew’s new music video for his latest single ‘Holding On’. We had loads of fun coming up with the scenarios in this video as well as art directing and styling it! I love my job, it changes all the time and I get to a part of cool things like this, which makes me very happy!

Well done to everyone who worked on this, I’m sending out high-5’s to you all and well done Matthew for writing such nice songs and for most importantly, letting us drop 202 viennas on your head.

If you haven’t watched the video yet, have a squizz and let me know what you think. Enjoy!

This is one of our Churche jobs, if you’re keen to work with us, please drop me a mail.

Churche, GIVEAWAYS, photography

October 25, 2016

I have a new lookbook that I have just shot under Churche that I have been dying to share with you guys. It’s for a local label called Mungo that was founded in 1998 by Master Weaver Stuart Holding. It’s based in the seaside town of Plettenberg Bay where they design, weave and make a wide range of homeware products including table linens, bedding, throws, apparel and more.

-Mungo is a unique textile company with the rare ability to create fabrics from the inception of design to the final product. Ensuring all our products are from an ethical and quality beginning.

All I know is they make some of the nicest things I have ever seen and after the shoot, I just wanted to keep everything for myself! Their designs are so beautiful and clean, I love their colour combos and all their pieces not only look but feel amazing. I really had fun shooting this lookbook and I really hope you guys like it.

Kimmy & Bear clothing

September 16, 2016

Kimmy & Bear clothing

I’m so excited to show you guys this shoot that Churche did for Kimmy & Bear’s first ever clothing collection inspired by their childhood. We were briefed by the team to come up with something whimsical and pretty and so we built three giant animals made out of real foliage that became props and playing companions for everyone on set. We really enjoyed working on this shoot because all the little models and clothes were just too beautiful for words!

The new collection comes from the fact that when the three sisters that make up Kimmy & Bear were young their mom used to dress all of them in matching outfits that she made from patterns very similar to the amazing little outfits you are going to see now.  The collection is reminiscent of those sweet childhood memories that we all have tucked away in some forgotten place. It also makes me wish that I had magical witch powers that turned children’s clothes into big people’s clothes! What about us Kimmy & Bear?!!
