The Awesome Project.

Ok i’m in love with every single one of these porcelain pieces that are part of The Awesome Project.  Each one is designed and hand-decorated individually so they are super unique and special. They are so delicate and pretty, if I had a wish list, at least ALL of these things would be on it. And they have a cool logo to boot.

– An experimental journey of a multidisciplinary creative duo (illustrator Madalina Andronic & designer Claudiu Stefan) through the awesome milky-silky world of porcelain, with a touch of Romanian folklore. Our wish is to create heart-to-heart, beautifully adorned decorative objects for individuals and homes. All the pieces are designed and hand-decorated individually, using porcelain, underglaze colours, stoneware glazes and love.

Dancing on the ceiling.

I have seen quite a few pictures around of painted ceilings and I think I have grown quite fond of this idea. In the right room, with the right fittings and things, I think it could look pretty spiffy. What do you guys think?

If Shane and I had our own place now I think I would be strapping some paintbrushes to my shoes, hitting play on the old Lionel Richie and painting the crap out of one of our ceilings.

D.I.Y. Heart shaped elbow patches. Swoon.

I came across this tutorial on how to make elbow pacthes for your plain old jersey, but not just any elbow patches, heart shaped ones. They are so so sweet and if you click here you can go through the process step by step.

Listen, if you do manage to pull this off and feel like attempting a second sweater, because you’re awesome like that, I’ll give it a new home, with pleasure hee.

New and fresh and tassely.

On Saturday Jo and I went to the Oriental Plaza to look for bright and shiny new material to make new bunting for Wolves. We decided that a tassel would be a nice change from the flags that we have had hanging up for the past 2 years. It didn’t take us too long to cut and tie all these bad boys together, even got some good quality time in between to torment Olie a bit. Shame I think the next time I come to visit he’s going to hide under the bed or jump off the balcony. I just want to squeeze him and love him ALL the time.

Please can we all see.

So I have started receiving Portrait Project pictures from people and they are just too too cool! Hope you have all posted yours off, you were meant to do so over a week ago already, so you should be getting stuff in the mail soon.

I drew one for a lovely lass in California named Lara. She sent me an email today saying that it had arrived safe and sound. Thought I would post some pictures up of the portrait I made for her. I was a bit worried I might freak her out with my “artistic” skills, but she seems to really like it. She is probably really relieved that I don’t live anywhere near her so I won’t be popping around for a surprise tea slash to check if my portrait is hanging up ha!

Guys as soon as you get your pictures, please take nice clear photos or scans and then email them to me. Thanks x

**And to those of you who bailed on your partners, it’s not cool. I had a handful of people who landed up with no one to draw and they were not happy campers. This morning I found this ladies’s amazing project on In the Fashion Loop. Her name is Lucky and basically her goal is to create a new work of art every day for the next 365 days. She’s on day 62 now and all I can say is, damn this lady is dedicated and super talented. It’s such a cool project and her art is so lovely, when she is done it’s going to be amazing an amazing collection.

Her pieces are about all sorts of things, characters from movies that she likes, self portriats, jobs she kept in the past, people she knows etc. Click here to see all of them so far.
