I just recently ordered these 2 books online. They are called Boring Postcards and Boring Postcards USA. It’s a collection that Martin Parr has compiled of old postcards from the 1950’s to the 1970’s from Britain and the USA. They are so super mundane, but super awesome at the same time. I would kill to own these in real life. If I did, I would scatter them on my bed and then roll around in them laughing hysterically. Why you may ask would I want to scatter them on my bed and then roll around in them while laughing hysterically? I have no idea, is my answer.
All I want to know is why has no one thought about sending me a postcard of a awning before? Am I that forgettable that the idea didn’t ever cross their mind?

ooh I have a book I picked up in Sweden called Trakiga Vykort (boring postcards) You want to rip them out and frame them all around the house they that amazingly boringly cool.
you must post about the ones that we found in howick ( people getting on bus) or have you done that already?
nope not yet, going to find them now 🙂
I saw that book a few years ago, and I thought what a boring thing to make a book about, but then you start paging, in the end I think i would buy the book if I ever saw it.
Don’t despair, I’m not cool enough to have received a postcard of an awning either *sadface
Awesome books!
