I haven’t been antique hunting in super long, so much to my delight on our way back from the shoot yesterday I spotted an antique store in Tulbagh and asked my bosses if we could stop. They said yes and they let me run wild for as long as I wanted, the shop landed up being bigger than I thought, so I was having a field day. Some of the things were priced quite high, but I came out smiling. I think my prize purchase from yesterday has to be the antique mixing bowl, which just by the way doesn’t have a mark on it. Either the person who owned it forgot about it or just hated baking and liked drinking G&T’s with her friends instead and the best part is it was only R250 and it’s huge, you can’t see it in the picture, but it is.
Also love the pink glass jug, pomegranate lemonade here I come and as for the sailing boat cups (found 10 of them), you’ll be seeing slash drinking out of them at Wolves. Thanks you Tulbagh.

What nice finds!
Absolutely beautiful!
that’s a winning bowl for baking!
i have a mixing bowl just like that, it used to belong to my gran who brought it down with her when my dad’s family moved here from England sometime in the 60s/70s – i still use it all the time for baking!
Wondrous! Just wondrous!
Enjoy the Indaba too…wishing I was there – next year I will be!
