Vanilla face cake.

Over the past few days I have been trying out a few chocolate and vanilla cupcake recipes. We had a big order for the shop, for someone’s birthday and I wanted to make sure the cupcakes were awesome. I went through FOUR chocolate cupcake recipes before we settled on one. And 2 vanilla ones. I mean you would think these would be the easiest things in the world to bake – wrong and right, I guess.

The ones we landed up making came out really nicely and I was really happy with them, but if any of you have got any fool proof cupcake recipes to share, please share x xx

Vanilla cupcakes – Makes 12

125g butter. 150g castor sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence. 2 eggs. 200g cake flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 125ml milk

Cream the butter and sugar together

Add the vanilla and mix well

Add the eggs one at a time

Add the flour, baking powder and milk to the mixture and beat well

Divide the mixture into 12 cupcakes

Bake at 160 for 20 minutes
