The Making of Sergeant Pepper Footwear 2013

My friend Zak who is the designer behind the awesome men’s label Sergeant Pepper has just sent me a video that pays homage to the intricate detail that goes into making Sergeant Pepper footwear. It has been shot beautifully and I had no idea so much personal effort went into making each shoe, it’s so cool to watch. I also like seeing mine and Nick’s logo popping up here and there. Makes me feel really proud of not only Zak but us too.

So as some of you may know my husband Shane has a band called Desmond & the Tutus and they are pretty damn good at making cool music. They have just finished their second album called Mnusic and yesterday they posted up their informercial for it. This is what Madeline did in 2011

My friend Tim sent me this very very cool video that was shot by Madeline Schichtel from Los Angeles. I would love to make something like this. It requires commitment, but soon I shall have some free time, so maybe I will challenge myself. Rad idea Madeline, very very rad. Here, have a virtual high-5.

– I shot a little video every day of 2011 on my Canon Powershot, then I edited it all down to a little over a second each. It’s interesting to be able to look back on my year and remember these little moments. I love living in LA. I love the friends I’ve made. And I love seeing how much has changed over just one year being here. Sure, I guess now that I see it, I got sick and worked a lot this year (lots of driving, running around doing errands all day). But oh well, it’s motivation for 2012.
