Baby and I got some new threads…11. April 2014
Last night I went to the Mr Price Winter Launch at their store in Sandton City. And as always they put on such a good show. There were awesome snacks and photo booths and marshmallow toasting stations and this time they had personal stylists to help you put some looks together, if you wanted. Last night I picked up this full black circle skirt that I spotted at the breakfast preview they threw for us a while back. I have been waiting for it to come into store and now I finally have my hands on one, but it’s going to have to wait till baby Shangie is here before it sees the light the of day, because at the moment me in a full circle skirt is flipping hysterical.
I also picked up this sweet fox tote bag, which are in-store now and the cool part is that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these bags goes to the Red Cap Foundation, which is awesome.
I thought I would also show you one or 2 things that I’ve picked up for our baby girl. Damn baby clothing is so addictive, there is such cute stuff out there. I literally feel like I have to have a clothesminder (yes I made this word up) with me every time I go to the shops. I think by the time she comes she might have more clothes than me.
Leggings from Cotton On
This babygrow is from Country Road
The above pieces are from Cotton On, except the cat t-shirt, that came from my mom-in-law, I think she got it from Toys Are Us.
New Mary-Janes03. April 2014
I went shopping for a friend’s child’s birthday yesterday and I found some pretty cool things for the little tike, but I also found a couple of cool things for me toooo. Oh yes I did. I got me some Mary-Janes from Mr Price, a red pair and a white pair. All Winter stock is coming into the shops now, it’s quite nice to see chunky jerseys and long sleeved goods again, there are some very cool pieces out there, if you guys are looking to spruce up your wardrobe.
Mr Price Checkered shirt challenge27. February 2014
When I went to the Mr Price Winter preview breakfast the other day, before we left they gave all the girls a green and navy checkered shirt and all the boys grey trackpants to style however they pleased and then shoot the looks. Mr P has all our looks up on their online store, which was very cool.
Thought I would share my photos with you guys, it was a fun challenge, one I thought Simon my loving deer might enjoy…He’s such a good sport.
Thought I would also show you the tan sandals I bought from Mr Price, that I’m really enjoying, I got them a little while back but I think they still have them.
Thanks Mr Price for always making me feel special xx13. February 2014
This morning the awesome ladies from Mr Price invited a handful of us to preview their up and coming Winter collection and what trends and pieces are coming into store in the next couple of weeks and months. They invited us to the most beautiful place in Westcliff, cooked us breakfast and champaign-ed us up before we were presented with Winter 2014.
Whilst we hung out and ate we were taken through the new looks, which were anything but disappointing. You can expect some very cool pieces very soon and not just for us girls, but for guys too. There is loads of plaid, prints, textures and leisure wear this Winter, all stuff to make you feel happy and warm. You can also expect to see lots of cute twin sets (I want a matching pants and top set), maxi skirts, quilted details, pleather, florals and like I said lots and lots of plaid, which i’m amped about, because I like me some plaid.
I had such a nice morning, so I thought I would share some snaps with you guys of what we got up to and some photos of some of Mr P’s new merchandise. Enjoy.
*Nearly stole all the gold horse accessories below. Sigh, so nice.
Got given these awesome gifts to take home, a great plaid shirt, a wooly mug for hot chocolate and this rad felt and tartan i-pad pouch. Nice. Thanks again Mr Price, I had a very nice time xx
Some puffy sleeves and tan sandals09. December 2013
The other day Grazia magazine visited me at my house. They came to take pictures of what I would wear to a Christmas party that I would host. Now, those of you that know me well, know that I’m not a very dressy-up kind of person. I don’t wear heels and I like to feel comfortable and myself at all times and so I opted for a long black skirt, my new top from Country Road, which I love because the shoulders are puffy and I flipping love puffy shoulders (don’t ask me why). I also decided to wear 3 of my favourite local designers, Jane Sews shoes, a bracelet from Skermunkil and a necklace from Dear Rae.
So I thought I would show you guys the insert (thanks Grazia) and show you my nice new top and some nice new sandals I picked up at Mr Price, incase you were looking for puffy sleeves and some new sandals xx
I also found another nice pair of sandals at Mr Price this weekend.
Mr Price Summer 2014 – fun times.02. December 2013
Here are a few pics I snapped of some Mr Price’s looks for 2014. They’re so care-free and fun and I love how they’ve played with material and volume and they haven’t taken themselves too seriously. Love all the lengths too, can’t wait to see them in-store.
They haven’t forgotten you boys either, there are some cool prints coming out and I’m quite jealous that they’ve made matching top and pants suits for you, too awesome.
