This is Kate, she draws one thing that she buys everyday. Doesn’t matter what it is, a pretzel, a pair of pant, you name it she inks it. What a rad way to document your life. She had a book made of the first three years of her ink drawings, it’s called Obsessive Consumption: What Did You Buy Today?, I bought it, it’s super rad.

Marsi van de Heuvel is currently exhibiting some of her work at Wolves. She has hand painted a beautiful series of extinct animals and they are all once offs. They are all original and painted on A5 backgrounds and they are only R500 each. The detail on some of them is amazing… You can also buy a giclee print of all 21 animals, there are a limited edition of 10 of these prints available at R1000 each. I can’t get enough of these drawings. They’re by an Australian based artist named Evie Cahir and I think they are just too cool. I like her incompletive style, makes the picture so eery but beautiful at the same time.

My lovely friend Cath draws very very nicely, she started a project a while ago called the 30 day postcard project. But now that she has finished with that she has started drawing commissioned pieces for people, she also does this cool thing where if you are the first person to comment on one of her postcards on Instagram, you get it.
Found this lady’s simple but awesome illustrations. Her name is Ji Hyun and she is currently studying Communication Design in Germany. Her people illustrations are so charming and unique, would love the old couple below.
Ok Aleksandra Waliszewska has one very dark imagination, but man is she talented. Her illustrations tell such strange stories and leave you with the weirdest thoughts. I went through a lot of her work last night and I picked some pieces that I liked (obviously a few of them feature cats) and that wouldn’t freak you out too much.
