My friend Amy has finally got her Jane Sews online store up and running and it’s full of wonderfully pretty things for you to buy. Amy has also become one of my sponsors, which I’m super happy about.
Here are some photos of her latest collection which is all available online. So happy viewing and shopping and welcome Amy to Lucky Pony.
Shopping with me eyes.09. May 2013
I went snooping around Urban Outfitters last night and I picked out all the things I would like to have delivered to me in a nice giant present box. We have Topshop and Zara and now we NEED Urban Outfitters and H&M. Not sure who Mr. Big Bucks is that brings stores like this here, but I wish they would ship these 2 over.
Anyway I went on a virtual shop last night, I would of ordered a bunch of these things but the problem is you get slammed with import taxes when they arrive here. I ordered something off Urban Outfitters a few months ago and even though it arrived in good time, I landed up paying nearly R800 in taxes, so whatever you order make sure you really really really want it.
I really really want all these things.
SUNO08. May 2013
Suno makes such pretty things, expensive but pretty. Feels like one should be holidaying in Greece wearing these dresses.
- SUNO is a New York based womenswear label founded in 2008 by Max Osterweis in collaboration with designer Erin Beatty.
Margot Molyneux26. April 2013
My lovely friend Margot Molyneux (who I wish lived in Johannesburg) has just recently launched her online store, which has an array of pretty and easy going pieces on it. Margot’s clothes are some of my favourite because they are like a breath of fresh Spring air, they’re not fussy, they’re easy to wear and you can dress them up or down in a blink of an eye.
So if you are feeling like a bit of a shop from the comfort of your couch, don’t hesitate to check out Margo’s site for a bit of a spoil.
* Shipping costs R60 & takes 3 days for local and international delivery is R150 and that will reach you in 7-10 day. Nice.
Margo sent me this beautiful loose collar shirt in the mail, which I’m super happy with, I’m also super happy to announce that I’m becoming a online supporter of Margo, so her name will now have a home on my little blog, welcome Margo face xx
Family Affairs Spring/Summer 1309. April 2013
These pieces come from a label called Family Affairs and I think their stuff is just so great in a simple and fresh way. The prints are fun and not too over-bearing, the shapes are loose and carefree and they make you want to live in Summer land forever. Love the telephone print, so cute.
- Together, Nina and Kaya Egli form Family Affairs. A mother and daughter, they draw on their combined experience in fashion and design. Kaya Egli opened her first store selling her own designs and vintage clothing at the age of 20. She went on to become the in house designer for The Beatles iconic Apple shop in London. Nina Egli, already with her own line of jewelry Toujours Toi, made a natural progression into ready to wear, and a transatlantic design partnership evolved; with Nina based in New York and Kaya in Switzerland.
From New York, Nina gathers and sends packages of visual inspiration: essence, fabrics, colours, and shapes, across the seas to Kaya and the process begins to take shape. Then delving into Kaya’s archives they pull designs, which they adjust and refine to create the bone structure of each piece.
Natalie Creed Autumn 201302. April 2013
Natalie Creed a very talented Port Elizabeth designer has just sent me her Autumn 2013 collection to have a look at. I really like all the ruffles and pleats and how she’s not scared to try something a little bit different. I think the pompom stockings are just too much fun and the first dress below is my favourite, it’s so super pretty. Well done Natalie.
