SUNO08. May 2013
Suno makes such pretty things, expensive but pretty. Feels like one should be holidaying in Greece wearing these dresses.
- SUNO is a New York based womenswear label founded in 2008 by Max Osterweis in collaboration with designer Erin Beatty.
Natalie Creed Autumn 201302. April 2013
Natalie Creed a very talented Port Elizabeth designer has just sent me her Autumn 2013 collection to have a look at. I really like all the ruffles and pleats and how she’s not scared to try something a little bit different. I think the pompom stockings are just too much fun and the first dress below is my favourite, it’s so super pretty. Well done Natalie.

Charlotte Taylor13. December 2012
I have only just discovered the beautiful work of Charlotte Taylor. Her silhouettes and patterns are so beautiful and adventurous. I know I’m probably like the last person on the internet to post about her clothes but anyway… Here are images from her Spring/Summer 12 and Autum/Winter 12 collections.
Spring/Summer 12 - Japanese art and culture, bee-keeping and fishing provide the stimuli for Spring/ Summer 2012. A fresh, colourful, elegant and endearing collection hosting an array of prints from fishermen and their fish to Bonsai trees and our signature penguin.
Autumn / Winter 2012 – takes inspiration from a trip Charlotte took to Cornwall with her father. They delved into a world of Cornish Tin Mining, Pirates and Smugglers and Gypsy Jazz. A sinister and vibrant world that has been interpreted in sartorial form for this rich and unusual collection.
Amber Smith I hate you, I love you.11. December 2012
Do you guys remember a post I did a while back on one Miss Amber Smith? She asked me if I would like to be a part of a zine she was designing as part of a university project. If you don’t, just click here to see what an amazing job she did. The whole idea was centered around people’s collections. She came and took photos of me with my many ceramic animals and then asked me a few questions about my unhealthy obsession with them. She also interviewed a guy that collects slinkies, watches, knives and a lady who collects crystal animals.
Well anyway last night whilst I was standing outside Wolves just before I was heading out for dinner, a figure appeared out of the darkness, it was Amber carrying a brown paper bag with my name on it. She handed it to me and in a few seconds she was gone. I was not expecting her and now I wish I had the chance to look into the packet before she disappeared so that I could show her how damn excited I was about the contents.
Amber dropped off a physical copy of the zine that she put together by hand. It’s wonderful, it’s so beautifully crafted and lovingly made up and it’s sitting proudly on my coffee table as I type this. She also gave me a set of postcards that she designed of crazy looking circus folk. They are beyond amazing. They are so detailed and the content and colour pallet is beautiful. She also made me 3 brooches, 2 from broken plates (which I love) and one of a bony hand, which is so much fun!
Amber you really are one talented young lady and I’m so glad that you randomly picked me out to be one of your subjects, because now I get to enjoy and collect your more than awesome work.
I have asked Amber if she will do a solo show at Wolves and she said yes with a smile. I’m so super excited to see what she’s going to create for the space and don’t worry I will warn you all so that you can come see her stuff up close, because it’s so worth your time.
Thanks again Amber, you really made my week xxx
Colenimo09. November 2012
This is Colenimo’s Summer/Spring 2013 collection, I have never heard of this label before, I spotted it on Pony Anarchy today and I became an instant fan. I WOULD LIKE EVERYTHING. Thanks.
I then went to check out their site and got to set my eyes on their Autumn & Winter 2012/13, which is just as pretty as the Summer collection. Oh guys please send me a box of your pretty stuff. I will forever be grateful and happy. Forever.

The Collector’s Edition29. October 2012
A few months back a young lady by the name of Amber mailed to ask me if I would be keen to be a part of her university project. She was designing a zine that was all about people and their collections. She came around to my house to interview me and take pictures of my ceramic animal collection so that she could illustrate them at a later stage.
I met her, we chatted, I smiled for some photographs and then a few days ago she sent me the finished product and I love it. It’s such a cool little piece and I think she has done a pretty damn good job at designing it.
Thanks Amber for thinking of me and for drawing me and my ceramics so beautifully. Amber is also going to send me a hardcopy, which I’m going to keep till I’m old and buried under my inevitable future collection of 6378 ceramic animals. Sorry Shanie.
Here are a few pages from the zine, I have also included a few of the other people she illustrated.
