Wideeyed Sculptural Exhibition

We have a lot of different kind of art that goes up at Wolves Cafe, but we have never had a Sculptural Exhibition before, so I’m very excited to show you guys the work of Josh Smart who is currently using Wolves’ bookshelf as a home for his weird and wonderful creatures.

The Wideeyed Sculptural Exhibition started at the beginning of the month and is made up of 10 super awesome, limited edition, handmade and painted monsters. And the best part is that their prices are pretty much as awesome as their faces – These guys start at R545 (yes that’s right!) and go up to R2500.

Super Neat an exhibition by Paper Snap

The quirky duo from Paper Jet Design are putting on a exhibition called Super Neat at Wolves Cafe starting tonight. They’re going to have all sorts of wonderful and fun original silkscreen prints available and a awesome limited edition zines. They’re also going to be live printing stuff on the night, so come stock up on out of the ordinary, rad Christmas gifts, yes? Yes.

Show starts at 6pm tonight and will run till mid-Jan, but you will be able to pick up your purchases before Wolves closes for the festive season (±14th Dec)…See you later

An Exhibition of Peculiar Creatures by Lara Meintjes

We haven’t had some art up at Wolves for the last couple of months, but we are very happy to kick off the year with some very very cool prints from a very very cool illustrator named Lara Meintjes who originates from South Africa, but now lives in California.

Her quirky watercolor paintings of half animals and half humans are not only charming, but so well done. Each one is unique and quirky and I think if you come in you’re going to have a hard time choosing which one you like best.

Maria Lebedeva

Maria Lebedeva is currently exhibiting at Wolves. Her work is fine and delicate and all watercolours and ink. I hope my photos do them justice because you really have to see these little pieces of painted craftsmanship in real life to appreciate just how wonderful they are. Her stuff will be up until the end of the month if you are keen to come have a look…

Marsi van de Heuvel – In Loving Memory

Marsi van de Heuvel is currently exhibiting some of her work at Wolves. She has hand painted a beautiful series of extinct animals and they are all once offs. They are all original and painted on A5 backgrounds and they are only R500 each. The detail on some of them is amazing… You can also buy a giclee print of all 21 animals, there are a limited edition of 10 of these prints available at R1000 each. Lapis Lazuli – an exhibition by Amber Smith

Hi there guys, this Friday the very talented Miss Amber Smith is going to be exhibiting some of her work at Wolves. From these few pieces that she has sent as a sneak peak, it looks like it’s going to be super cool. You can start buying stuff from 6pm, so if you want to get yourself something good, come early.
