art director

So this post is going to be quite a hard one for me to write. I’m already tearing up and I haven’t even started.

I have been working at Network BBDO for the last 10 years of my life. I started out here as a copywriter for 2 and a half years and then became a fully fledged art director (I have never looked back, art directors rule). I arrived when I was just a baby adult and I have never left, haven’t ever even considered it. I’ve learnt a lot from this place, I’ve made some cool stuff whilst here and most importantly, I met and made some of my best friends and I found my Shane here. Network has been good to me, in so many ways, but last year November I decided to resign. So today is my last day here as an art director, my last day as a Networker. I love this place so much, but I have lots of things I need to do and so I’m giving myself time to them. So I’m off and I’m super sad, but also super excited to start a bunch of new projects that I have been harbouring.

I’m predicting that I’m going to feel like I’m on leave and I’m probably going to land up driving here a few times by mistake haha. Man oh man, I’m scared, but then I think of Wolves and all the stuff I want to make and sell there and the new project that Shane and I are working on, which I will let you know about in a little while, and I feel better.
