Cool spaces: Can I move in please? You can have my flat and my sunglass collection.

Look at this bright open space that Alex and Georgie Cleary, the brother-sister duo behind Australian fashion label Alpha60 live in. I love their design asthetic, there is a lot of interesting stuff to look at in the space, but it’s not too cluttered and over the top. The actual building that they are living in is an old community hall that was super run down before they arrived.

- The group were keen to keep key original elements that could be salvaged – timber and metal beams, and of course the amazing red brick walls throughout. Georgie and Alex’s museum-like  collection of artefacts and ephemera is displayed throughout the home – it’s almost as though the space were designed around them.

Shane and I would KILL to be given a big open space to design a home in, it’s our dream to do that. To find something, completely gut it and make it exactly what we want it. Lucky for us we both have the same taste in interiors, so it would probably be loads of fun rather than stressful. We both have so much reference and one day, soon hopefully, we’ll be able to use it. Damn it Lotto why can’t you be MINE you fool, you!
